Gabriella Demczuk is a photographer based between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Md.
Born in Sweden but raised in Luxembourg, Belgium and later the United States, she studied fine arts and journalism at The George Washington University and photography at the Parsons School of Art and Design in Paris.
Gabriella is a regular contributor to The New York Times for the DC bureau covering Washington politics and national news. She has been recognized by The White House News Photographers Association, American Photo 32, The Magenta Foundation, The Society of Professional Journalists and Pictures of the Year International (POYi). In 2015, Gabriella was named Photoboite's 30 Under 30 Women Photographers.
Along with the New York Times, she has been published in The Washington Post, TIME.com, National Public Radio, Getty Images, National Geographic online, The Baltimore Sun, El Nuevo Dia, The New York Times Magazine, Internazionale Magazine, Das Magazine, L'Illustré, among others.
