About Giorgio Lulli

Born in 1955. Phisicist, previously senior researcher at the National Council of Research in Italy, now retired. I began in early 1980's with analog black and white photography, developing films and printing in the darkroom. In early 1990's I turned to family photography (color prints and slides processed at service labs) to came back to my photographic interests in 2008-2009, embracing digital photography.

For me photography is a way, in addition to science, to investigate the world around and the "mysteries" of reality. I consider photography as my personal form of meditation.

I am an amateur photographer, inclined to explore various genres, but the theme that most interests me is the changing urban landscape. My fundamentally documentary approach is nevertheless characterized by the attempt to give my images a value, including aesthetic, that transcends the local and temporal context in which they are set.
