About Ilisa Katz Rissman
After a decade long career as a commercial still-life photographer, Ilisa has dedicated her practice to photographing long-term personal projects --choosing large format analogue cameras. She was recently awarded the Julia Margaret Cameron Award for People and Culture and three of her photographs were exhibited at the Berlin Foto Biennale, 2016. Her work has been posted and/or reviewed in, The New Yorker, The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Detroit Center for Contemporary Photography. Ilisa was a featured artist for Slate, Photo District News, and The Forward Thinking Museum. She is a BRIC Arts Media Fellow and lives in Brooklyn with her family.
