About Ilisa Katz Rissman
After a decade long career as a commercial photographer, Ilisa dedicated herself to long-term personal projects -- choosing large format analog cameras to produce detailed, evocative images. She recently won the Julia Margaret Cameron Award for People and Culture, (2015) and three of her photographs were exhibited at the Berlin Foto Biennale (2016). Her work has been posted and/or reviewed in The New Yorker, The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Detroit Center for Contemporary Photography; she had solo artist features in Slate, The Forward Thinking Museum and Photo District News. Ilisa is a BRIC Arts Media Fellow and lives in Brooklyn with her family.
