My name is Jaka Gasar. I was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia where I live and work. My preoccupation for the last thirteen years has been documentary photography which gives opportunity to address, investigate and interprete topical or just interesting issues. I started my professional career in photography in 1997 at the Slovene daily Dnevnik for which I still work. Through my career, my photos were published in important Slovene newspapers or magazines. My work was exhibited in solo and group exhibitions and I received several awards for it.
