I am a Slovenian-born, Brooklyn-based photographer and cinematographer. My personal projects focus on the passion of others, from athletes pushing their bodies to the limit to medical professionals helping those in need. Exploring diverse cultures and alternative lifestyles, I seek intimate moments within the unfamiliar.
Since relocating to the United States in 2010, I worked with a variety of documentary, fashion, and lifestyle clients. Besides my photographic work, I also shot three award-winning, feature-length documentaries: “The American Nurse,” which showcases the lives and incredible stories of nurses across the country, “Defining Hope,” which examines the end-of-life treatment in America, and most recently, “In Case of Emergency,” which explores Emergency Departments across the US and current socio-political issues such as gun violence, mental health, health insurance, drug abuse as well as the COVID pandemic.
