James Deavin (1973) a project based photographer living in the UK. He studied Ancient History at King’s College London and has no formal photography training, instead choosing to work as an assistant to commercial photographers.
James’s projects explore people and places ranging from the vey specific to the very general. He is a “documentary” photographer but in the loosest sense of the word - his influences come from a wide range of sources.
He has been shown in group shows including The Brighton Photo Biennial and published in magazines including Next Level, 125, Harpers, W, Sunday Telegraph Magazine, Fast Company.
