James Lattanzio, is a documentary photographer and artist originally from New York City and currently based in Montclair, NJ. His most recent projects have focused primarily on documentary portraiture, disability, and the environment. He is a 2021 Rita and Alex Hillman Foundation Fellowship recipient and will be working with Kira Pollack over the next year on a project on disability and caretaking. In 2022, he graduated from the Creative Practices program and in 2020 the Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism program at ICP where he received a Directors Fellowship. In 2018, he was selected by Klompching Gallery in Brooklyn as a Fresh 2018 exhibiting artist and short listed for the Rhonda Wilson Award given by the gallery for his portraits of young athletes and also selected to exhibit the same work during Month of Photography, Los Angeles.
