I am a photographer and writer, born in 1958 and lives in West Sweden. I started taking photographs in my early teens and, after completing my compulsory schooling, I was apprenticed to a portrait photographer.
In 1982 I enrolled at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts to train as a film cameraman, but I dropped out in favour of teacher training and photography, graduating in 1986. During vacations I worked as a press photographer.
I have been a full-time photographer and author since 1994.
Speglingar (Reflections), was my first book, published in 1996. Since then I have made 14 books and have had numerous exhibitions both in Sweden and abroad.
Today, in creating my images, I increasingly seeks the interfaces of nature, humankind and society. Photography is my way of exploring reality, to consider, interpret and visualize. By taking pictures, I discover the world. Foremost is the desire and joy, and a great passion for the art of photography.
