John Hesketh is an artist, educator and a painter trapped in a photographer’s body. Based in Anaheim, California he’s interested in the narrative of extended and folded moments, John uses time as a formal element in his photographs, to express the painter inside. Growing up as a photographer’s son Hesketh learned photography at an early age in the family business, Photomation were he worked as a master printer serving other artists and museums. He attended California State University Fullerton and Orange Coast College. As an educator he has taught 5 years at Santa Monica College and has been an adjunct faculty continuously at Orange Coast College since 1995. As an artist his work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. His art can be found in many collections including the California Museum of Photography at UCR, Maison Europeenne de la Photographie (Ville de Paris), and the Bibliotheque nationale de France.
