About Judith Denise

Judith is a Montreal-based graduate of the Vermont College of Fine Arts (MFA Visual Arts), an independent multidisciplinary artist and a a human rights defender. Her non-fiction has been featured in Six Hens, NACLA, Siafu Magazine, and the Upstream Journal and her art practice has been featured in The New Quarterly, Hyperallergic, Génération d’idées, and on Les Nouveaux Explorateurs (Canal +). In recent years, Judith has attempted to bridge the gap between art-making and activism through a variety of means – from furtive practices, to socially-engaged visual works, to collaborations as part of the Montreal/Chile-based art collective, Native Immigrant.
