I'm based on the wild and beautiful North Norfolk Coast, and love shooting landscapes and environmental portraits.
In my location portraits I am looking for connection with my subjects, to hear their stories, and create authentic work which resonates with the individual. Sound is key to me - sound of the voice, of the environment, of music. In my music portraits I enjoy experimenting with different techniques to suggest the character of an artist's sound, and the nature of their performance style, visually.
In my limited edition, fine art landscape pieces, I use photography, painting, geometry and sound to create abstract, semi-abstract and kaleidoscopic images. These are created using long exposures, in layered multiple exposures, and geometrically from photo-snippets of texture, colour and shape. The finished pieces often resemble crystals, stained glass panels, or bring to mind the rhythm and pattern of traditional textiles.
