Kate Wool has lived in Alaska since 1993, where she moved from her hometown of Asheville, NC. Kate received her BFA in Photographic Design from the University of Georgia in 1992 in film + the very first Photoshop. After photographing and traveling the world, she continued her education and received a MFA in Art + Photography from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks in 2001. Her work has been recognized + exhibited locally + nationally + internationally. Teaching, researching, studying, and talking about all things photography is one of her favorite past times. Doubling as an Adjunct Professor, Kate has shared that passion with students at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where she has taught for over 17 years.
