About Kate Karwan Burgess

I graduated from West Point, The United States Military Academy, in 1995 after serving four years as a photographer and one year as Senior Photo Editor for the annual publication called the Howitzer. It is the largest college publication in the country. Commissioned as an Aviation Officer I had the opportunity to fly helicopters including the UH-60 Blackhawk. In 2004 I earned an MA from Ohio University School of Visual Communications in Photography. In 2006 was a student at the Eddie Adams Workshop. Zuma Press currently represents my Women of West Point (graduate project) and a portion of Rendering Honors. I also photograph local weddings, portraits, events, and architectural photography. In addition to being a wife, I am the mother of twin boys and a little girl.
