About Kevin Belanger

Kevin Belanger has been photographing the world around him for the past 15 years. His previous experience as a theatre actor/director has greatly fostered his approach to light and composition. He has been inspired by the work of William Eggleston and Gary Winogrand who said “I photograph to find out what something will look like photographed.”

While mainly self-taught he has studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, NESOP and the Boston Center for Adult Education. He attended the inaugural “Photographing People”
workshop at the Griffin Museum of Photography taught by Harvey Stein.

His work has been exhibited in many group shows at the South Shore Art Center in Cohasset, The Danforth Museum, the New York Center for Photographic Arts and the Griffin Museum. In 2011 he had a solo show at the Nash Gallery in Easthampton, MA.
