I am a writer and photographer. originally from New York City, I lived in Mexico City for over 20 years and have been living in Cali, Colombia since 2014. I am the author of Several Ways to Die in Mexico City (2012, Feral House), and the photo-books Sonora: The Magic Market (2008, RM) and El Super (2006, RM). I have published text and photos in the Guardian, Dazed, Vice, Dezeen, Domus, The Ecologist and other media. I was the editor of Poliester, a contemporary art magazine of the Americas, from 1993-2000.
