Laura Williams has had many different jobs in many different streams of visual communication—all interesting and challenging, hilarious, surreal, infuriating and insane. Her jobs have been made easier by the great fortune and opportunity of working with some incredibly talented, smart, and inspiring artists. Her personal work weaves inside and outside of her work for hire and although she has tried for most of her professional life to keep them separate she is beginning to understand that the more she can merge it all together the more satisfying it will be.
Laura Williams received a BFA from the University of Vermont and attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. She has recently shown her work at the Light, Art + Design in Carrboro, NC; Durham Arts Council, Durham NC; The Light Factory Annuale in Charlotte, NC; and other venues in North Carolina and the United States.
