Linda Kuehne is an American fine art photographer. Her current concerns deal with the changing suburban landscape since 2008 and the decline of the American Dream. The artist's father was an avid photographer and she picked up her first camera when she was 14. As a teenager, Kuehne had a darkroom in her home basement where she printed her own silver gelatin prints. She studied photography, attending classes at SUNY Purchase in Purchase, New York. She received a BA in English and Political Science from Sarah Lawrence College and an MBA in Finance. Kuehne worked at a major publishing house in New York, later becoming the director of an Art Center outside of New York City. She is now a full-time photographer. Her work has been exhibited in contemporary art galleries and museums throughout the New York metropolitan area. For the past seven years she has been splitting her time between New York and Arizona, photographing suburban development and/or decline in both places.
