Lorraine Turci is a French photographer, strived to tell strong stories in a way that is both sensitive and documented. Her work endavours humans and their environment, the relationship to others, the elsewhere, collective history, absence and memory.
She began photography at the Fine Arts School of Nantes and obtained a Master's degree in photography from the University of Paris VIII. After several years in Canada as a senior retoucher for high-end advertising, she embarked as a photographer on cruise ships, to travel the world.
As she wanted to developp her documentary approch of photography, she recently graduated with a DU in Photography from Perpignan University (2019). She is now working on long-term projects with a personal writing.
Her work has been exhibited in Canada, France, Poland, Norway, Greece, USA, has been awarded several times, was recently awarded the “ANI Favorite”, finalist for the “France Info Digital Gold Visa”, the “Paris Match Student Photo Award”, and winner of SIPA Awards 2018.
