About Louis Celia Zippo

The main themes of my photographic work are people as well as the environment, and nature. Light is essential for my life, and the release of a camera is like the air we breathe.

In 1985, I deepened my interest in photography and worked as an assistant with international fashion photographers in the studios of the magazine Elle in Paris. Furthermore, I studied in Geisenheim and Salzburg in the fields of food, photography, and economics.

In 1992, I presented my first solo exhibition "Passerwasser", followed by the books "Transumanza" and "Des Weges" (Brocia d'Or). Further solo exhibitions and photography projects followed, such as "Through the mild and wild Kurdistan", "Farbenfrieden", "All that jazz", "Venere dove sei?", "De zonba rubra" (Minimalist Photography Awards, Honorable Mention) and "Light in the cities". I take part in numerous group exhibitions and art festivals, such as at the Total Arts Gallery in Dubai, the International Photography Gathering in Aleppo, the Circuito OFF Fotografia Europea in Reggio Emilia, the Bolzano Art Weeks, the Biennale di Genova, and in 2026 the MIA Photo Fair BNP Paribas in Milan and the ONE.einssein in Salzburg.
