I didn't realize as a kid heading off to college that I could have studied photography as a profession until later when I was already immersed in the study of biology. My camera, however, has been a constant throughout my life as I pursued my studies, traveled the world and raised three kids. If there is one thing my boys will remember is always pulling me back to the path as I got distracted by the world of images around me in our life's travels. It’s a beautiful momentary blink of an eye, the chance alignments, that keep me so distracted by the simplest of visions framed by my tiny black box. Capturing the elements and gestures of my surroundings, forever recorded with the play of light and my framed vision, is beautiful. It is my way of speaking beyond my words. I would like to expand my work in manner that visually speaks for those who may not have the words to speak for themselves.
