Miquel Gonzalez (1964, Germany), studied photography at the IEFC in Barcelona. In 1985 Miquel moved to Barcelona. In 1991 he documented the metamorphosis of his hometown into Olympic city. He exhibited his work in Barcelona, Cologne, Neu-Ulm, Berlin and Alkmaar among other places. Miquel worked as a documentary, portrait photographer in Europe and Latin America. His work was published in a number of international magazines, including Der Spiegel, Die Zeit, GEO, Business Life, Het Financieele Dagblad, Stern, The Times, Wired and many more. In 2000 Miquel moved to the Netherlands combining his personal projects with portrait and corporate photography. Miquel is represented by Hollandse Hoogte (NL), laif Agentur für Photos & Reportagen (Germany) and REDUX (USA). His is a member of the professional photographers associations FREELENS (Germany) and DuPho (NL). He lives with his wife, two kids and a cat in Alkmaar (NL).
