mitchell hartman is an illustrative photographer based in New York City, specializing in fine art photography using the street genre as a starting point for his work. He uses this form to express his view of the contemporary urban experience—particularly that of the five boroughs of New York.
mitchell received his BFA in commercial illustration from the School of Visual and has been exhibited by several prominent galleries, most recently in an invitation-only show at Ogilvy & Mather in 2014. Since 2011, he has been represented by the Susan Spiritus Gallery, Newport Beach, California.
