Nora Oberschwandner (born 1981 in Austria) is a Vienna-based photographic artist working across portraiture, documentary, and conceptual approaches. Through long-term, dialogical projects developed in close collaboration with her subjects, she investigates questions of identity, intimacy, and social representation.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at OFF Rencontres d’Arles, Rotterdam Photo Festival, FORMAT International Photography Festival, Sarajevo Photography Festival, and the Austrian Cultural Forum London.
She is the recipient of the Portrait of Humanity Award and the Julia Margaret Cameron Award.
