I "breathe" the drag scene, the works of David Lachapelle, Jan Saudek, Miles Aldridge, the aestethics of Vik Muniz, Bob Wilson, Osborne Macharia and "exhale" a satirical, theatrical glam-trash style. Colors, textures, themes, poses are used as flirting and conflicting protagonists in scenes that transport ideas via provocation, surprise, fantasy, and weirdness. The visual impact I am seeking is immediate, direct, while the conceptual aim is indirect: using the blend of harmony and discomfort to question norms, normality and to open minds.
