Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Peter studied art history and fine art photography at Hampshire College with Carrie Mae Weems, Jerome Liebling, and Sandra Matthews.
After graduating, he moved to Berkeley, CA and lived there for 20 years, while he worked as a freelance photographer and taught at UC Berkeley's ASUC Art Studio.
Peter now resides in the foothills of Santa Barbara, CA, in the company of his wife, two cats, and 22 quail.
