I'm a french-syrian artist living in Canada.
I mainly question my personal and intimate relationship with my crossbreeding and its political, social and geographic issues.
It’s a work that is always articulated around the desire to communicate an experience of linking with the other and with the heritage.
How does personal history become the most tangible material to talk about politics?
What geopolitical dynamic is playing out in my own existence?
My research, through forms is therefore above all a research of languages which would allow me to think and to see the complexity and the paradoxes of my experience of reality in order to create links to the world.
I'm working with photography, video, installation and sculpture and my work has been shown at the Mattatoio museo di Roma for Emergin talents, the Benaki museum of Athens, at the festival Circulation(s) at le 104 in Paris but also in Lebanon, Germany, China and Lithuania.
I just won the jury's price for my project "Ya nour ayouni - à la mémoire de nos Tetas" for the Restart group show in Vilinius.
My project "Le Damas des autres" received the Life Framer award in 2018.
Im currently working on a project with immigrants in Canada with tattoo and photography.
