These candid images are part of a current street photography project entitled "Surrender." I made them at the beach in the Principality of Monaco where I live.
The subject of Surrender is the act of releasing oneself from the constraints of borrowed fears. In keeping with the theme of surrendering, I relinquished the predicatbility of the digital process for the uncertainty of a disposable film camera.
The subject of these images also reflect the ongoing subtext of my street photos and narratives: depicting Monaco in a new, non-clichéd way.
