This series shows the bus transport system of Curitiba, considered a reference and has already been copied by more than 80 countries.
All the photos were made with drone, trying to value the perspective seen from above, and merge the vehicles parked in their garages and moving through the urban setting.
"The recent arrival of drones has revolutionized
aerial photograph. With them, we gained bird's eyes, a panoramic look, freer and sharper, capable of revealing new perspectives of the world, which nevertheless seemed already have exhausted its possibilities with the technologies available until then.
The aerial photography of Guilherme Pupo offers us a new angle and a playful perspective of the city. On its boardwalk on XVth Street, the shadows steal the scene, becoming protagonists of an urban fiction in which they contrast with the subjects of the photo in an ambiguous scenario where the images seem to exist simultaneously from two different perspectives.
Guilherme Pupo also presents a look at the city in which the fruits of nature and of culture take colorful geometric forms and strip away from their everyday functions to compose an unexpected urban mosaic.
Places, blocks, swimming pools, buses and the traffic itself become graphic elements of a composition whose lyricism makes one think of the words of the master Cartier-Bresson, "my joy is the geometry".
