In the Arctic tundra, the family Kondyginy live the same life as their Khanty ancestors, following their herd of reindeer over the Ural mountains and back. Every year it’s getting harder to feed the animals, as climate change and encroaching oil industry disrupt their familial routes and pastures. The parents are considering abandoning this way of life and settling in the city. The six children will soon have to decide which path they will pursue — one of education, jobs and city living, or one of following their reindeer, fighting to maintain this ancient way of life.
