Downtown Crossing (DTX)

This is an ongoing project that documents the life, built environment, and people around the T-stop Downtown Crossing. When I moved to Boston last June I started searching for for a photography project to develop a more personal connection to with the city. At Downtown Crossing there are a variety of personalities, workers who are there everyday, those who are just passing by to get to another location or people coming to enjoy the company of their friends. Therefore each person has a different purpose for coming to Downtown Crossing and a different perception of what this place means to them. Photographing on the streets has allowed me to break out of my comfort zone and talk to strangers with an open heart and mind.
