My work at Poppit Sands is as much of a study of my own self as it is a study of a place. The infinite possibilities available at a place that reforms every day allow you to make that place the solid base for a long term study - and this long term dedication allows you to assess your self and your way of thinking against it - as a core to everything.
After a number of years I began to notice that the negatives as they hung to dry were so beautiful. It was as if a new unseen feature of the beach was showing itself to me. Poppit Sands has lead me down many different creative avenues - and the realisation of the importance of these negatives is one of the more positive ones.
