Light, Gravity and Distance
For over a decade I was mentored by a sculptor as I worked alongside him documenting his work. He believed that “when an attempt is made to express what is always inexpressible, to hear what is always silent, something extraordinary happens.”
My friend and mentor is now very ill and naturally I am more aware of things that lie outside of time, things on the verge of disappearance and things that extend beyond conventional notions of place.
The photographs in this submission, captured in Nice, tell the story of light, gravity and distance, in memory of my time with Michael.
