Contemporary Ghosts

This project wants to shed light on a generation that in the last years in Italy, due to the economic crisis and irresponsible governments, is forced to live their lives in the shadows. Unemployed , and if employed, with irregular types of contracts , thirty-year-old people are invisible to the Government . Perpetually in search of work , forced to accept black market labour or irregular contracts , forced to live with their parents or to get financial help from them, unable to have a independence and to create their own family, thirty-year-old people in Italy now living in limbo between being and non-being, almost like ghosts. These photos collect pictures of some of them in their bedrooms , a place where they begin and end their days at search of an identity.
