In March 2017, I went to Berlin finally; the city I had always wanted to visit since I started my life in Europe for my studies in Italy in 2015. After a couple of days walking and observing the city, I found myself next to the Berlin zoo, the oldest zoo in Germany, opened on August 1st, 1844. The zoo that during WWⅡ, was bombarded several times. However, I had my own reason to just go to the ticket office and buy a ticket. I had never seen an elephant from a near distance; and I thought that, in a few hundred meters over the gate, there are some! So, I told myself, go and see them!
This visit brought me this project little by little and made me travel to Berlin and visit the zoo some more times. Here there are the photos from this series.
