My photography captures the pure essence of each subject. Instead of providing overly-optimized, unrealistic imagery, I strive to showcase human’s inner core. Non-linear movements and genuine expressions are my focal point as I explore the duality of human nature and our connection to the planet.
The continual loss of various animal species and unadulterated green space harms each of us more than we realize. Additionally, society has imposed harmful borders that limit us; by breaking through these barriers, prejudices and unnecessary conceptions, we can begin to heal the wounds between our psyches and the world. My photographs are intended to free people enough that they get back to their true nature.
I utilize a mixed media approach with materials like paper, wire and various fabrics to embody all of society's limitations. We are so much more than a cog in a wheel or a tiny fragment of a grid-locked society. I help my subjects discover their truth in all of its impulsive, non-perfect glory.
