My work does in fact, begin with a camera and a digital file. From that point on, I work to bring a surreal and impressionistic feel to my images. My images go beyond the detailed copy of a scene. I use subtle color, soft rendition and ethereal composition to bring the vibe and spacious feel of Southern California to the viewer. These prints when viewed large and in person, are often mistaken for paintings. Which is fitting, because I literally do paint these images with digital tools rather than oils.
