Creating images of small products, planes, plant, pets, ponies, people, portraits or parties, photography is my passion. From an early age I was amazed what could be achieved with a camera, back then it was a pocket 110 format instamatic camera. Progressing to a 35mm Leica I started learning about developing black and white films and how to compose pictures to their best advantage.
Work, marriage and family took priority over photography for a while. When the older children had flown the nest I lifted a camera again mainly doing small product shots of model trains for selling on eBay. Using a compact digital camera I felt that there was something lacking in most of the images so I invested in a Canon EOS 300D my first DSLR.
The camera was upgraded many times and I started studying photography in my spare time.
Throughout the learning process I have had the opportunities to capture images of many unique objects and some wonderful people.
It is through my love of all genres of photography that I find I am still learning, experimenting and achieving new highs when it comes to image enhancements through the software available.
Portrait photography is my main passion and through my studio work I have had the pleasure of photographing many interesting people.
Being able to capture that special moment, that twinkle in the eye, that subtle sort of half smile, a glimpse of a dimple, just that moment in time when somebody looks their best.
We are all individuals and what one person sees as a flaw can be made to look wonderful.
We all have to start somewhere and getting off the bottom rung can seem like a massive first step.
