"Markings" Isreal

My photographs are a continuous exploration using alternative processes. With a love of the craft of hand printing, I start the process by hand sensitizing various paper surfaces. The images in this series "Markings, Israel ", were taken in the Old City of Jerusalem . They represent carvings in stone columns, tarnished from a fire. My eye was intrigued by the mysterious, aged surface.
