Former US Army sergeant and Vietnam veteran Leonard E. Cowles traces his past at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. He traveled to the memorial in 2014 to visit some old friends enshrined in stone for their sacrifices on the battlefield. To veterans like Lenny Cowles, the Wall is not a monument. To them, it represents one headstone for a massive grave. Each name is a ghost without a face. This series shows some of the familiar faces in the Wall known to my father; the uncles I never knew.
