Constructs

Constructs are images built in the darkroom using a hybrid photogram process to capture an elusive sense of place. Using elements of lens-based photographs, masks and physical objects, the images are composed in a sequence of many exposures with occasional chemical interventions, resulting in a complex layering of shapes. The process is employed to evoke the way our species has attempted to order, shape and control the natural world.
