These photographs presented as triptychs are eclectic constructions of the scenes that make it to my subconscious. I use photography as a medium, but I see the results more like paintings that originate in the space between the dream and real. Thus, the color and composition within the triptych become especially important. The scenes are pieces of the city as I see them in that special transition when they pass from my conscious to the subconscious. The little things I see on my daily passage, those that seem ordinary, but have that magic that remains lingering around. I am especially drawn to the way the plants fight for their personal space in the city, adapting to the tiniest available pieces of fertile land, trying to keep up with the pace of change caused by the destruction – construction cycles.
