BLACK IS THE RIVER 2019 The photographic serie was insipired by the movie “The night of the Hunter” of Charles Laughton, 1955. All photos have been taken exploring an area of the river Po, the main italian river. The idea of the project was to combine the magic realism present in the movie with what the place arouses, with that childish feeling of fear and courage. I tried to document the place giving back all those sensations felt through the sounds, the isolation and the darkness. All photos are part of a larger serie and shot on films with medium format cameras
