Gelicidio

Gelicidio is the Italian for "Glaze ice". The glaze ice is a sort of ice coating occurring when the rain freezes while hitting a surface. Even if it could help to create stunning landscapes, it is one of the most dangerous types of winter hazard. The valleys around Piacenza (Italy) have been awfully hit by the phenomenon and this series of photos is just a small glaze on the extensive damage the people living in the neighborhood had to face.
