The series “Room 143” is a photographic installation consisting of 18 works exploring the pleasures and terrors of voyeurism, creating an epiphanous experience for the viewer.
The series addresses femininity, male and female constructs of power as interpreted and influenced by Hollywood through its icons and social history.
The work aims to include the audience in its play through the direct gazes of the icons; leaving us wondering just who is looking at whom? The audience willingness to explore and participate in this bizarre love triangle are caught up in the sensuality of the moment.
The artworks as prints are up to 100cm wide by 150cm height, one triptych of Midnight Monroe spanning 3 meters in length, a diptych of “Tones” spans over 2 meters.
The series to be accompanied by Bernardo Bertolucci’s soundtrack to “Last Tango In Paris”
