Ashra Day
The day of Ashura is the tenth day of the month of Muharram (20 September), 1400 years ago. On that day, Imam Hussein and 72 of his people fought with Yazid’s Thousands army. They all became martyrs. That is why Imam Hussein and this event is symbol of freedom among the Muslims of the world. Muslims are mourning these days and every year they hold various ceremonies for anniversary and memorial of Ashura.
