The violent clashes between the former Yugoslavia and NATO forces still live strongly in my eyes. The memory of my "imperfect" past is the starting point in the investigation of my identity and intolerance witnessed in the war in my native country. Some images are gestated from an intense experimentation that, in the process, incorporate different languages like collage and superposition. Maps of areas devastated by the conflicts and landscapes of towns lit by the bombings, serve as background for self-portraits. The first image is a manipulation of self-portrait and a present from my boyfriend, that lost his life in the war. The second and the last photo have been taken during the bombing itself.
