During a dance program in Israel I was able to visit Palestine with people I met through local friends and through cultural programs. Having previously studied in the Middle East and having just graduated from university, I wanted the space to learn more about myself and the opportunity to explore my artistic and social interests. Expecting to find extreme situations I found stories that resonated with those I had known growing up in Peru, forcing me to reassess the importance of sentimentality, the tension created by attachment and transitions, family politics and how they intermingled with wishes and dreams when there are restrictions in movement. Documented in words and images.
