The project Investigations About the End of the World - is a work in progress that intends to take a glimpse into possible futures. In a logic of conflict between nature and the cities, the photographs conjecture drastic consequences resulting of the lack of balance in this relationship. To do so, a capture is made in film 35mm, in a determined location - either urban or wild. Afterwards, the film is rewinded and a new capture is made in a double exposure process, but this time every capture taken is of the opposite theme than the one made before. As a result, the image created of this fusion of territories displays us an imaginary cenario, a future where sometimes nature annihilates the cities, or the opposite, where the cities end to overcome nature.
This investigations search to foresee this catastrophic futures so that, after this reflections, they don't end up becoming reality.
In that sense, the movements performed by man alters memories and imaginaries in open and dynamic processes where there's a desire that this interferences result in balance, but in reality we see that we are leading towards collapse. This questions evidences the limits of nature and, therefore, of the capacity of the human beings in use it's benefits, reseting the notion of limits for the very human kind. After all, the nature, being a live organism itself, in many times reacts with devastating consequences to the man, and it's the man himself who choses the directions of the spaces that he inhabits and surpasses.
