SUOMI depicts a vision of Finland: a small village of wooden houses nested between lakes and forests. It's a narrow vision of the country, almost cliché. But it also speaks about the traditional Finnish landscape and thus about the country's identity. Haapamäki, the village used as a "décor", was once a busy major railways junction. It is now a quite residential place and its old train station is left unused.
