Headless in Vegas

Up and down the Vegas strip, the sidewalks are lined with your favourite cartoon and movie characters. They work on a photos for tips basis, because directly asking you for money is considered pan handling. For some this is a full time job. For others a 2nd job to make ends meet, and others are illegal immigrants or homeless. The costumes they are wearing are a metaphor for Vegas itself. Looking great from a distance, but once you get up close they are threadbare, held together with gaffer tape in places.
